AI Member Profile Matching helps you filter and/or sort members to best match your expectations, directly from the User List.
This feature is available only for communities where members connect and authenticate their social profile (not for communities where members enter their social handle without connecting their account).
It also requires your organization to accept the use of Artificial Intelligence.
Understanding the feature
AI Member Profile Matching analyzes the similarity between the content of member social profiles and a reference you define. This reference is called a seed.
What is a seed?
The seed is the element used as a reference to filter and/or sort members. It can be keywords describing the content you are looking for (for example: family, travel) or the social profile of a reference member.
Members that best match the defined reference appear at the top to make selection easier. You can access two AI modes (only one mode can be active at a time):
- Text search filters the User List to keep members whose content is similar to the keywords, then reorganizes those members by relevance.
- Lookalike reorganizes members according to their similarity with a reference social profile. No member is filtered from the User List.
Why use it?
AI Member Profile Matching is particularly useful when the number of members is high and you need to quickly identify the members that best fit your objective. The feature allows you to:
- Save time by starting your analysis with the members that are closest to your expectations.
- Evaluate content and members more easily through their posts.
- Use a high-performing profile as a reference with Lookalike to find members whose content is similar to that of a member who performed well.
- Keep your selection criteria: existing filters are applied before the AI result.
- Compare different approaches, using keywords or a reference profile, to refine your selection.
AI Member Profile Matching is a pre-selection support tool. It does not automatically select members and does not replace manual review.
After identifying the most relevant members, check their information, previous participation and the criteria specific to your objective before taking action.
Where it is available
AI Member Profile Matching is displayed above the User List. You can use it in the following contexts:
- Global User List: go to Statistics > Users to filter and/or sort members based on their social content.
- Tester selection and invitation: use AI Member Profile Matching to identify candidates for an open product testing campaign or members to invite to a product testing campaign by invitation only. Learn more.
- Adding a member to a group: identify the members whose content best matches the objective of your group.
- Email and push notification targeting: use AI Member Profile Matching to identify the most relevant recipients.
How it works
Active filters are applied before AI Member Profile Matching. The AI result is therefore calculated only for members who already match your criteria.
- When applying filters, for example a minimum of 400 points and a minimum completion rate of 60%, you will only see members who match both criteria.
- If you then activate Text search with the seed "Curly hair", AI keeps the existing filters, hides members whose content does not match the keywords, and reorganizes the remaining members by similarity.
AI Member Profile Matching compares the seed (the reference) with the textual content available on the members’ social profiles. Depending on the selected mode, it filters and reorganizes the User List (Text search mode) or reorganizes the User List (Lookalike mode) according to the level of similarity between this content.
The system may take into account:
- The profile bio
- The profile description
- Post captions
- Textual content associated with the social profile
If a member has several connected social profiles, the displayed posts come from the profile with the highest similarity to the seed.
Post images are not analyzed to calculate the result. No numerical score is displayed: you only see the filtered and/or reorganized User List and the associated posts, depending on the selected mode.
When AI Member Profile Matching is active, the three posts displayed for each member are the ones that best match the seed. They are therefore not necessarily the most recent posts.
When you remove the seed, the display returns to the three most recent posts and the visual indicator disappears:
Using AI Member Profile Matching
This mode allows you to search for a type of content using keywords. It filters the User List to display only members whose content matches the keywords, then reorganizes those members by relevance.
Use this option when you know precisely what type of content you want to find. For example:
- For a campaign dedicated to a skincare range, use the keywords skincare routine or beauty routine.
- For a campaign related to outdoor activities, use outdoor lifestyle or outdoor sports.
Use several keywords that describe the expected content precisely. A term that is too general may produce a less precise result.
Steps to use AI Member Profile Matching - Text search
- Use the available filters to limit the User List to members who match your expectations.
- Open AI Member Profile Matching, select Text search and enter your keywords.
- Click Apply ranking to validate the search. AI filters and reorganizes the User List.
- Review the members displayed at the top and check whether they match your objective. You can then select the members you are interested in.
This mode allows you to find members whose content is similar to that of a reference social profile. It reorganizes members according to their similarity with the reference profile, but no member is filtered or removed from the User List.
This option is useful when you have already identified a member who matches your expectations, for example through a previous campaign.
Choose your seed carefully: use a profile whose posts clearly illustrate the type of content you are looking for. An inactive reference profile or a profile without usable posts cannot be used.
Steps to use AI Member Profile Matching - Lookalike
- Use the available filters to limit the User List to members who match your expectations.
- Open AI Member Profile Matching, select Lookalike and enter the handle of the reference social profile.
- Click Apply ranking to validate the search. AI reorganizes the User List according to content similarity.
- Review the members displayed at the top and check whether they match your objective. You can then select the members you are interested in.
Best practices
Follow these steps to get more relevant results with AI Member Profile Matching and better organize your selection:
1. Check participation criteria
First, filter members based on the conditions required for your objective, such as their location or connected social profiles. This limits the User List to people who can actually take part in the action.
2. Apply specific criteria
Then refine your search with criteria specific to your objective. For example, you can use answers to custom fields.
3. Use AI Member Profile Matching
Once the filters are applied, use AI Member Profile Matching to identify the members whose content best matches your objective:
- Use Text search to filter and sort members using precise keywords, such as skincare routine.
- Use Lookalike if you have the social profile of a reference member.
If the result does not match your expectations, try other keywords or another reference profile.
4. Review posts
Review post previews directly in the User List to evaluate their quality and relevance for your objective. Also check information that can help you make your decision, such as completion rate, acceptance rate and previous participation.
5. Select members
Select the members that best match your expectations individually or in bulk.
The next steps depend on the context where you use AI Member Profile Matching: select testers for a campaign, add members to a group, or define the recipients of an email or push notification.

It depends on the mode you use.
- Text search filters the User List according to the keywords and displays only members whose content matches the search, and then reorganizes the matching members by relevance.
- Lookalike reorganizes the entire User List without removing any members. Members that are less similar to the reference profile are simply positioned lower.
No. Only one mode can be active at a time. Activating one mode automatically deactivates the other.
However, you can use one mode after the other by selecting members who match your objective with one filter, then with the other.
Reset the seed in the AI Member Profile Matching section or click on a column header to apply a standard sort.
No. This is what happens:
- If AI Member Profile Matching is active and a column sort is applied afterwards, the AI result is automatically deactivated and the User List is sorted according to the selected column.
- If a column sort is active and AI Member Profile Matching is activated afterwards, the column sort is automatically deactivated and AI filters and/or reorganizes the User List, depending on the selected mode.
No. The data used to calculate content similarity is not used to train the model.
