The Acquisition/Retention dashboard allows you to track your community’s growth. Use it to identify a decline in acquisition or a change in the number of members.
In Statistics > Acquisition/Retention, the dashboard displays data related to your community’s growth.
The Referral section is now available in Statistics, directly below Acquisition/Retention.
Its content remains unchanged.
General information
The main filters are located at the top of the dashboard. Depending on the dashboard, you can select a period using a date selector or refine the results using a dropdown list.
- Some charts also allow you to use their own filters to display a specific view when this option is available.
- Hover over a chart with your mouse to display detailed information about the data.
- When a chart contains a legend, you can click on the legend items to show/hide them in the chart.
When the last displayed period has not yet ended, the final data point appears as a dotted line with the label Partial data. As this period is partial, avoid comparing it directly with a complete period.
In tables, click on a column title to sort the results in ascending or descending order.
When a chart or data can be exported, an export icon button is available in the top-right corner. Click this button to export the data in .csv format.
The export is limited to 10,000 rows.
Available filters
The filters are located at the top of the dashboard. Select the period to analyze, then choose a comparison period in Compare to. By default, the comparison period corresponds to the previous period of the same length.
To compare two periods, make sure the selected dates cover comparable lengths. This will make it easier to interpret the differences displayed in the metrics and charts.
Key indicators
At the top of the dashboard, four key indicators summarize the results for the selected period.
- New users: the number of members who joined the community and confirmed their registration during the period.
- Growth rate: the percentage change in the total number of members between the beginning and end of the period.
- Total users: the cumulative number of members registered in the community at the end of the period.
- Deleted users: the number of members whose accounts were deleted during the period.
Below each metric, the value for the comparison period and its percentage change are displayed (the arrow and color indicate whether the value increased or decreased compared with the comparison period). An exception applies to the Growth rate metric, whose change is displayed in percentage points (pts).
Understanding the Deleted users metric
An increase in the number of deleted accounts may indicate a trend worth monitoring, especially if it is accompanied by a decrease in the number of new members (an acquisition decline).
Compare the number of deleted members with the comparison period and monitor the change in the total number of members to check whether the community continues to grow.
New users chart
The New users chart shows the change in the number of new members over time (monthly view).
Compare this trend with your acquisition activities, your campaigns, or your community’s periods of activity to identify the periods (months) when acquisition increases or decreases.
Total users chart
The Total users chart shows the change in the total number of members registered in the community over time.
It allows you to track your community’s overall growth.
Observe the trend over the selected period and compare the total number of members at the beginning and end of the period.
Referral dashboard
The Referral dashboard is now available in Statistics > Referral, directly below the Acquisition/Retention dashboard. It allows you to view data related to referrals.
- View the top referrers.
- Track referred members.
- Analyze members acquired through referrals.
If the chat widget is not implemented on your website, the data in the Acquisition Chat and Acquisition BEP tabs will be the same.
