Select the most relevant testers using AI

AI Member Profile Matching helps you identify the members whose social content best matches the expectations of your product testing campaign.

This feature is available only for communities where members connect and authenticate their social profile (not for communities where members enter their social handle without connecting their account).

It also requires your organization to accept the use of Artificial Intelligence.

Why use it for your campaigns

When you receive many applications or need to invite testers, AI Member Profile Matching helps you start your selection with the most relevant profiles. You can prioritize members whose posts, topics and tone match the product being tested.

This approach can help you:

  • Save time by analyzing first the members that are closest to your expectations.
  • Identify content that is more aligned with the product, such as beauty routines, family meals or sports activities.
  • Find profiles similar to a high-performing tester with the Lookalike mode.
  • Keep your campaign criteria: existing filters are applied before the AI result.

AI Member Profile Matching is a pre-selection support tool. It does not automatically select testers and does not replace manual review.

Selection and invitation

To understand the detailed functioning of the feature, the available modes and the filtering rules, see the AI Member Profile Matching article.

Choose an AI Member Profile Matching mode and follow the corresponding steps:

Text search mode Lookalike mode

Use Text search when you know the type of content you want to find for the campaign. The feature filters the User List according to the keywords, then reorganizes the matching members by relevance.

Examples of keywords depending on the product being tested:

  • Skincare range: skincare routine, beauty routine
  • Outdoor activities: outdoor lifestyle, outdoor sports
  • Food product: family recipes, home cooking

Use several keywords that describe the expected content precisely. A term that is too general may produce a less precise result.

Steps to use Text search

  1. In Animation > Product Testing, AI Member Profile Matching is available in the tester invitation and/or selection steps.
  2. Apply participation filters to keep only the members who can actually take part in the test, for example based on their location or connected social profiles.
  3. Refine the list with campaign criteria, such as completion rate, previous participation or custom fields.
  4. Open AI Member Profile Matching, select Text search and enter your keywords.
  5. Click Apply ranking to validate the search. AI filters and reorganizes the User List.
  6. Review the members displayed at the top of the list and check their posts. Select the ones that best match the campaign then click Confirm selection.

Best practices

1. Apply participation and specific criteria

First, filter candidates based on the conditions required to take part in the campaign, such as their location or connected social profiles.

Then refine your search with criteria specific to the product being tested. For example, you can use answers to campaign custom fields to target a skin type or a preferred product category.

It is also useful to use filters such as completion rate or participation in other product testing campaigns.

2. Use AI Member Profile Matching

Once the filters are applied, use AI Member Profile Matching to bring up candidates whose content best matches the theme of your campaign:

  • Use Text search to filter and sort members with precise keywords, such as skincare routine.
  • Use Lookalike if you have the social profile of a tester of reference.

If the result does not match your expectations, try other keywords or another reference profile.

3. Review posts

Review post previews directly in the User List to evaluate their quality and relevance for the campaign. Also check information that can help you make your decision, such as completion rate, acceptance rate and previous participation.

4. Select testers

Select the members that best match your expectations individually or in bulk.

When your selection is ready, click Confirm selection to validate it. You can also click Export to export the filtered User List, carry out a manual sort, then reimport the file to validate your selection.

Your selection does not need to be completed all at once. After validating an initial selection, you can still add other people from among the candidates who have already applied to the campaign.

What you can do

Profile not found when using Lookalike: check the handle

Check the spelling of the handle, then run the search again.

No content available for the profile when using Lookalike: seed cannot be used

Use another reference profile or choose the Text search mode.

No member matches the applied filters

Change or remove one or more filters.

A loading indicator appears on the User List.

Wait until the calculation is complete before interacting with the User List.
Does AI Member Profile Matching remove the least relevant members?

It depends on the mode you use.

  • Text search filters the User List according to the keywords and displays only members whose content matches the search. It then reorganizes the matching members by relevance.
  • Lookalike reorganizes the entire User List without removing any member. Members that are less similar to the reference profile are simply positioned lower.
Can I use Text search and Lookalike at the same time?

No. Only one mode can be active at a time. Activating one mode automatically deactivates the other.

However, you can use one mode after the other by selecting members who match your objective with one filter, then with the other.

How do I deactivate AI Member Profile Matching?

Reset the seed in the AI Member Profile Matching section or click on a column header to apply a standard sort.

Can I apply a column sort and an AI sort?

No. This is what happens:

  • If AI Member Profile Matching is active and a column sort is applied afterwards, the AI result is automatically deactivated and the User List is sorted according to the selected column.
  • If a column sort is active and AI Member Profile Matching is activated afterwards, the column sort is automatically deactivated and AI filters and/or reorganizes the User List, depending on the selected mode.
Is my community’s data used to train the model?

No. The data used to calculate content similarity is not used to train the model.
