Custom fields are customized fields created to collect specific information about your users such as their skin/hair type, their shopping preferences, interests, etc..
Create a custom field
- From the back office, head to the “Settings” icon down the page
- Then click Custom user fields, and Add
- This will open a pop-up, in Label you can enter your question/sentence****
*You can now choose if answering this question is optional or mandatory for users.
*If you want to add a note for the user instead of a question, you can select “is readonly.” This means users will not be able to interact with that question, but you can use that space to share information with them about the next question, for example.
*Select the rank or the position of your custom field. - Then, you need to choose the type of content you want from users

- In Places, select where you want you question to appear.
You can create custom user fields in :
- Profile = The public profile: All the personal information such as a nickname, Instagram handle, or location.
- Address: shipping information members need to fill in when applying to a product testing campaign.

The Product Testing channel: This helps build a tester profile questionnaire. Those feedback (Answers) will guide you when choosing a user to test a product.
- In this Channel, you can create another custom field for the member address in order to ship the product to the correct address.
- The private profile: in that section, any information submitted by members will be visible by admins only.
- The welcome pop-up: visible when the user create an account on the platform
- Product testing campaign: fields (questions specific to a product testing campaign) members need to fill in when applying to a product testing campaign or when leaving a review on a product. 👉 Remember to add possibilities if you select multiple choice or you won’t be able to save your changes. No matter where the custom field have been created, the user is able to modify all information from his profile
To conclude, you can click on “Add this field,” and your question/note will appear in the list.
Later, you can update these custom user fields at any time by clicking “update.”
👉You will not be able to change the type of question once created.

👉 When selecting the place, you can choose both:
- ProductTestingCampaign: This custom field will appear when a product testing campaign is live.
- ProductTesting: This custom field appears in the tester profile.
Follow the above steps, then select Profile or PrivateProfile.
If you set up a question with more than ten possible answers, the multiple choices will appear in a drop-down (as below).
Users will also be able to search for a specific answer using the search bar (please see below).
