How to: Update platform wordings

Effective communication is vital for user engagement in your community platform. Updating the wording allows for a more personalized experience.

How to update your wording

  1. First, to access the wording section, go to the “config” section and click “Wordings”.
  2. Then choose the part of the platform you want to update :
    The widget (chat -if available)
    The platform (any area of your community platform)
    The reactions widget (No longer active)
    The pairing widget (if live on your platform)


  3. Then, you need to select the wording you want to change.
    You can select a specific area (1 in the picture below) or go through the entire wording by clicking on ‘Expand all’ (2 in the screenshot below).
  4. No matter the path you follow, on the left column, you will find the default wordings, and on the right column, the new wordings. If the right side is empty, users will see the default wording. But if you add text on the right side (and validate), users will see the new wording.

👉Be aware of the {variables}. They are linked to users’ gamified experiences or navigation. The content of these variables is updated automatically based on the settings of your platform or your users’ progression.

Easily Find Your Wording

  1. First, go on your platform and copy the wording you want to change.
  2. Then, on the admin, click “expand all” (make sure you are in the right section “platform” “widget” or “pairing widget”).
  3. On your keyboard, press CTRL+F and paste your text.
  4. Press enter to initiate the search, you will now see the wording you were looking for.
  5. You can then proceed with the change
