The homepage is the showcase of the community. It helps new members get started and allows engagement to be maintained over time.
In Configuration > Home > Overview, you can configure several elements to organize navigation and highlight key content. Here are the sections you can modify and manage:
- Homecards
- Explore / Search
- Featured Channels
- Next Mission
The feed (My feed below) and discover (Trending below) are always displayed at the bottom of the homepage and cannot be removed.
Homecards
Homecards allow you to bring the homepage to life by highlighting the latest content and key community activities. They are displayed as a carousel, creating a quick access area for members.
There are two types of Homecards:
Dynamic Homecards automatically retrieve the latest available content from the selected channel (for example, the latest contest). If no content is available, the card redirects directly to the channel itself.
It is possible to highlight product testing campaigns, contests, surveys and events. This type of card is ideal for automation and for highlighting live community activities.
Manual Homecards are fully customizable. You can define an internal or external redirect link. They are ideal for having full control over the content.
Create a dynamic Homecard
In Configuration > Home > Homecards, click + Add a card. Then select Add a dynamic card, and:
- Choose the channel to highlight with this card: product testing campaigns, contests, surveys and events
- Select the relevant channel if you chose survey or event
- Define the card name or keep the channel name. If the number of characters exceeds the recommended limit, the text will be truncated on the community.
- Select the banner image you want to display (213x66 px). If no image is selected, the channel banner image will be displayed. If no default image is available, the channel’s primary color will be displayed instead.
- When the setup suits you, click Create homecard
Create a manual Homecard
In Configuration > Home > Homecards, click + Add a card. Then select Add a manual card, and:
- Enter the card title in Tagline
- Define the number of points required if the card highlights a mission
- Enter the URL the card redirects to
